Meet Grace

Here are the life experiences that will assist me in revealing the Health that already exists within you.
I am a student. I am a student of Life and have an unquenchable desire to learn and grow. What that means for you is that if I don’t have the answer, I will not only let you know, but I will do all that I can to help you find it.
I am a teacher. When I find something that deeply resonates for me and has helped me on my journey, I feel an obligation to share it. I teach qigong, therapeutic yoga, breathing techniques, self-care practices, primal movements, and various kinds of meditation practices. I will teach any combination of these practices depending on your specific needs and interests.
I am a coach. I am a mindset coach trained to help shift old patterns that no longer serve you. I use physiological sensations as a portal to find and shift your subconscious patterns, along with Universal Law principles to help you create the life you deserve.
I am an energy worker. We are all made up of Energy, along with everything else in the Universe. Because of that truth, I will assess and sometimes help resolve issues energetically. I use a form of Applied Kinesiology along with Qigong to both assess and correct physical and emotional issues.
I am an athlete. I not only understand the mind/body connection on a healing level, I have experienced the power of the mind and being “in the zone” firsthand. I have learned techniques to access the “Flow State” in order to be at my best – not only in the Sports area, but also in every aspect of life
I am a Mother. I am the mother of three grown children who have ultimately been my greatest teachers. I also have a furry child named Sasha who I love taking hikes with in Nature. They have all taught me the meaning of unconditional Love, Patience, and Acceptance. They have also made me a better listener, so that first and foremost, you will feel heard.
I am a Spiritual Being. As the French philosopher Pierre Telihard de Chardin expressed so eloquently, “we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience.” I understand the importance of seeing you as a Whole person. I realize that no matter what we do on a physical level, if we don’t address the spiritual component, we cannot uncover our optimal state of Health and Well Being.
For as long as I can remember, I have felt most confident and at ease in movement; using my physicality to experience the world around me. My love of movement and competitive sports both fueled a fascination with anatomy and kinesiology, and brought about its fair share of injuries. These injuries ultimately became my entry point into my journey of personal healing and professional growth.
It was knee pain that developed while training for the NYC Marathon that led me to try an Iyengar Yoga class. I was immediately drawn to the movement practice, alignment principles, and mindfulness aspects of Yoga. In 2002, I decided to explore the practice more deeply by signing up for a 3 year training program to become an Iyengar Yoga teacher, and taught private and group lessons for many years. But as much as Yoga helped me, I felt there was something missing and there was more for me to learn.
So in 2010, I decided to explore the Healing Arts further and became a Licensed Massage Therapist. It expanded my understanding of human anatomy and led me to amazing teachers who helped me understand movement, anatomy and breathing in a whole new way. In addition to more knowledge regarding the physical body, I gained a new-found understanding and appreciation for the Energetic Body and the Mind/Body connection through trainings such as Reiki, Qigong and Applied Kinesiology..
My continuing education includes the following certifications:
- Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT)
- Dynamic Neuromuscular Stability (DNS)
- Functional Movement System (FMS)
- Myoskeletal Therapy
- Restorative Breathing
- Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)
- Chek Golf Performance
- John Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR)
- Reiki
- Qigong
- Voila Method
More recently, I have completed a 9-month certification program to become a Sensation Based Mindset Coach. This is in perfect synergy with all of the other Mind/Body Modalities that I use in my practice. I have come a long way in my understanding from both personal experience and professional trainings, that pain, trauma and dis-ease cannot simply be addressed on a physical level.
The verb to Heal literally means to Make Whole. My journey has led me to the practice of treating my clients and myself as a Whole: Body, Mind, and Spirit.
